Brazilian Butt Lift
Shape, Lift, and Enhance
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
A Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a popular body contouring procedure that enhances the size and shape of the buttocks using your body’s own fat. Unlike butt implants, this technique provides a natural look and feel by removing unwanted fat from other areas—such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs—and transferring it to the buttocks for improved volume and definition.
This dual-benefit procedure slims and sculpts donor areas while enhancing the curves of your backside, offering a more balanced and contoured silhouette.
Are You a Good Candidate for Brazilian Butt Lift?
You may be a good candidate for a BBL if you:
BBL is not a weight-loss procedure but a body contouring method designed to improve overall proportion and enhance curves. During your consultation, we will assess your goals, fat distribution, and skin quality to determine if a BBL is right for you.

Understanding the BBL Procedure
Performed under general anesthesia, a Brazilian Butt Lift is typically completed in three stages:
1. Fat Harvesting
Liposuction is used to remove excess fat from selected areas of the body.
2. Purification
The extracted fat is processed and purified to prepare for transfer.
3. Fat Injection
The purified fat is strategically injected into various layers of the buttocks to sculpt volume and achieve a natural, lifted appearance.
BBL Recovery – What to Expect
Recovery from a Brazilian Butt Lift requires specific aftercare to ensure the survival of the transferred fat and to promote proper healing. For the first two weeks, patients should avoid sitting directly on their buttocks to prevent pressure on the newly grafted fat. When sitting becomes necessary, a specially designed BBL pillow should be used to offload pressure from the treated area.
A compression garment is worn during the initial healing period to help minimize swelling, support the tissues, and aid in skin retraction. Bruising and swelling are common and will gradually subside over the following weeks. Most patients are able to return to work within 10 to 14 days, while full physical activity is typically resumed after four to six weeks.
Although early results may become visible once swelling decreases, final outcomes usually take three to six months to fully develop, as the body adjusts and the transferred fat settles into place.
BBL
FAQs
What Are the Primary Benefits of a BBL?
The BBL enhances the shape, fullness, and contour of the buttocks using your body’s own fat—offering a natural-looking result while simultaneously slimming other areas through liposuction.
Is the BBL permanent?
Yes, the fat that successfully integrates into the tissue becomes a permanent part of your body. However, long-term results depend on maintaining a stable weight and healthy lifestyle.
Will I have scars?
Scars from liposuction and fat transfer incisions are minimal and strategically placed to be as inconspicuous as possible. They typically fade significantly over time.
Can a BBL be combined with other procedures?
Yes. A BBL is often combined with procedures like tummy tuck, breast augmentation, or a mommy makeover for more dramatic, full-body transformation results.
What happens if I gain or lose weight after the procedure?
Major weight fluctuations can affect the size and shape of the buttocks and the donor areas. For best long-term results, maintain a stable weight.
